Your Trusted Desk-Based Risk Assessment Partner.

The COVID pandemic changed the way most companies do business, and for Pendulum it meant creating and providing a desk-based service comparable to our well respected on-location risk assessment. The Comprehensive Desk-based Risk Management Assessment is available for underwriters, agents, brokers, and service providers.

Pendulum’s Comprehensive Desk-Based Risk Assessment is an effective tool to evaluate and identify areas of professional and general liability risk.

Comprehensive Desk-Based Risk Assessments Provide an Off-location Option for Evaluating Risk and Defensibility.

What We Need For The Assessment:

In advance of the desk-based assessment, documents requested by the risk control consultant are provided for review and discussion during the call. These documents include, but are not limited to:

  • Organization protocols
  • Policies and procedures
  • Orientation and training records
  • Quality, safety, and risk management practices

The Pendulum risk control consultant works with the provider in scheduling phone interviews with key leadership and staff. These calls can be scheduled at different times for the individual team member.

If applicable, the risk control consultant will also review resident records with the Director of Nursing through “read-only” access to the electronic medical record (for assisted living, a review of records will be conducted with the Wellness Director). If an electronic medical record system is not in place, another process for review will be determined.

A virtual tour may also be scheduled with the remote risk control consultant utilizing FaceTime, Google Duo, or another application.

Benefits Of A Comprehensive Desk-Based Assessment

Why opt for a comprehensive desk-based assessment?

  • An organization may have increased amounts of infections and needs to limit visitors
  • Assessment calls can be scheduled at times convenient for organization staff
  • The assessment can be spread out over several days
  • The assessment provides the same in-depth review as Pendulum’s on-location assessment
